Low Energy Supplies and Services Pty Ltd (LESS) is seeking Tenders from interested companies and organisations to purchase up to 95,000 Verified Emission Reduction Units (VERs) produced from their accredited Greenhouse Friendly™ energy efficiency projects, Live Green with LESS and Ban the Bulb.

LESS can offer you independently verified, accredited carbon offsets to assist you meet regulatory requirements or become carbon neutral.

We have 5 types of carbon offsets available for sale:

  • NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Certificates (NSW GGAS)
  • Verified Emission Reductions (Greenhouse Friendly™)
  • VEECs - Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEET Scheme)
  • REECs - South Australian Residential Energy Efficiency Certificates (REES Scheme)
  • RECs – Renewable Energy Certificates

Our highly successful Live Green With LESS project generates Greenhouse Friendly™ accredited carbon credits which are independently verified by auditors and approved by the Federal Department of Climate Change.
These carbon credits can be purchased by businesses wishing to:

  • Offset their emissions as part of a carbon management strategy;
  • Become carbon neutral;
  • Offset carbon neutral products or services under the Australian Government’s Greenhouse Friendly™ scheme.

Our carbon abatement projects have reduced the carbon footprint of small businesses and households as well as delivered verified carbon credits for our corporate clients such as Country Energy, IAG and local councils.
The Live Green With LESS project operates by offering Australian householders free high quality energy-saving light bulbs.

Once these light bulbs have been installed by our trained workforce, the householder signs a nomination form, assigning ownership of the Abatement Certificates to LESS.

To date, we have installed over 500,000 energy-saving light bulbs in more than 28,000 Victorian households, reducing an estimated 500,000 tonnes of greenhouse emissions and resulting in household electricity bill savings of approximately $51,000,000 over the lifetime of the globes.

LESS is operating under the following schemes:

  • NSW Greenhouse Gas Reduction Scheme (GGAS);
  • Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET); 
  • Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES);               
  • Greenhouse Friendly™;
  • Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER)
