Blacktown Solar City

As part of the Blacktown Solar City Program, LESS is delivering 700 home energy audits on behalf of Integral Energy.

Using a purpose-built home energy assessment tool (which is based on the NABERS rating system), trained auditors conduct comprehensive in-home energy audits. Energy bills, appliance checks, lighting, heating and cooling systems are all assessed to determine energy usage and behaviour patterns.

Once this process has been completed, the information collected is used to tailor a customised action plan for each household, and this is delivered by mail within 10 days of the audit. The action plan provides both current and potential NABERS ratings, and details the savings to be made from each of the targeted recommendations, which shows the householder how they can make both CO₂ and financial savings by making simple changes.
